1 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups sifted flour
1 (5 3/4 ounce) package chocolate kisses
Confectioners' sugar
Beat butter, sugar and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Add sifted flour; blend well. Chill dough.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Remove foil from kisses. Shape dough around kisses, using about a tablespoon of dough for each. Roll into balls, making sure to cover the kisses completely.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 12 minutes or until set not brown. Cool slightly on wire rack. Roll in confectioners' sugar while warm.
