4 chicken bouillon cubes
2 cups split peas
2 cups water
1/2 cup ham
1/2 cup celery
1/2 cup onion
1/3 cup carrots
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon parsley
2 cups milk
Prepare 4 chicken bouillon cubes with hot water according to package directions. Put mixture in crockpot. Add all ingredients except milk to crockpot. Simmer for 8 hours on LOW or for 4 hours on HIGH.
One hour before serving, add milk.
