2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 cup dried chives
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup milk
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; make a well in center of mixture.

Combine egg, milk and butter; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon batter into greased muffin pans, filling about two-thirds full. Bake at 400 degrees F for 18 to 20 minutes or until muffins are lightly browned.

Remove muffins from pans immediately.

Yields 1 dozen.
