1-1/2 pounds extra lean ground beef

1 cup dry bread crumbs

1/2 cup red pepper -- chopped

1/2 cup carrot -- shredded

1/4 cup scallions -- minced

1/2 cup Egg Beaters 99% egg substitute

1/2 cup ketchup

1 clove garlic -- minced

1 teaspoon dried basil or thyme

GLAZE:

3 tablespoon ketchup

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

In large bowl, thoroughly combine ground beef or turkey, bread crumbs, pepper, carrot,

scallions, EGG BEATERS, ketchup, garlic and seasoning. Shape mixture into 9 x 4-inch

loaf. Place in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes. Spread loaf

completely with Glaze; bake for 35 to 45 minutes more or until internal temperature

reaches 165F. Glaze: Combine 3 tablespoons ketchup, 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1

table-spoon Dijon mustard until smooth.
