3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg, beaten
2/3 cup finely chopped kiwi fruit
1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
2/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons grated orange peel

Combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl.

Combine egg, milk, kiwi fruit, orange peel and butter in medium bowl; stir into flour mixture until blended.  Drop large spoonsful onto a lightly greased hot nonstick griddle and cook until bubbles on the top surface start to pop, then flip over and cook until golden.

Serve hot with golden syrup, maple syrup, honey, fruit sauce or chocolate sauce.
