1 1/3 cups fine vanilla wafer crumbs (about 5 ounce)
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
1 cup confectioners' sugar
4 tablespoons undiluted orange juice concentrate
2 tablespoons Grand Marnier or Triple Sec
1/4 cup or more finely chopped pecans
Place a few wafers at a time in a blender or processor and pulse to make crumbs. Repeat until you measure the amount needed. Place the crumbs in a bowl. Add the 1/2 cup pecans and sugar. Mix well, mashing out lumps of sugar with the back of the spoon. Work in the orange concentrate, then the liqueur. Blend thoroughly.
Oil your hands lightly, then shape balls of the dough, rolling a mounded soup spoon or tablespoon measure between hands. Roll the balls in the remaining 1/4 cup pecans, if desired. Place the candies on trays lined with wax paper. Cover loosely with wax paper and let ripen at room temperature overnight.
